Due Dates:
  • Tuesday, April 7th: Join this Wiki and reply to discussion topic.
  • Tuesday, April 14th: Post at least 1 addition to Catcher Page on chapters 1-6.
  • Tuesday, April 21th: Post at least 1 addition to Catcher Page on chapters 7-14.
  • Friday, April 24th: Post at least 1 addition to Catcher Page on chapters 15-21.
  • Thursday, April 30th: Post at least 1 addition to Catcher Page on chapters 22-26.

An addition can be:
  • A short summary or list of important events in a chapter.
  • A key quotation with explanation/analysis.
  • A explanation of a key motif or theme with an example or two.
  • A link to an image, video, website, etc. that helps illustrate an idea or event from the chapter; also include an explanation of what the link is and why it is helpful.
  • An interpretive question with one possible answer explained.

I also encourage you to add to, edit, and respond to the contributions of your classmates. If you work together, this wiki can be a great tool for enhancing your understanding of the text, collecting key notes, and even serve as a study tool.

Please be very careful not to delete the work of others.

You can help edit it but do not erase the entire post!


Grading:
I will grade your contributions once each week (on the due date) on a 10 point scale. I will use the following criteria:
  1. Appropriate, effective, and accurate language use: because this is a public forum, please use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation as well as language suitable for representing our school.
  2. Originality and length of contribution: your posts should be at least one paragraph in length (6 sentences minimum). They should also add original thoughts and observations, ones not already posted by another student.
  3. Accuracy and quality of analysis: posts must provide accurate information and use clear, effective analysis to explain the content.
